TEMPUS Project Organises Innovative Online Teacher Training

Between July and December 2014 the IES is organising an online training on methods for teaching European Studies in the context of the TEMPUS funded project (Innovating Teaching and Learning of European Studies (INOTLES)).

The training involves around 50 professors from the 9 participating universities and includes both asynchronous work, on three specially created modules on the EU modules platform, and synchronous sessions via Adobe Connect.

The participants are split into three groups tackling three active learning methods: simulation games, Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and e-learning/ blended learning. Three webinars were organised on the topics of student engagement, dealing with failure and assessment, and feedback, each hosting about 25 to 30 participants and offering a unique opportunity for lively debate and exchange of pedagogical practices.
