Relive the first GreenDeal-NET conference

The first GreenDeal-NET Conference took place on June 27, 2023, and brought together leading universities and academic experts from the GreenDeal-NET consortium, policymakers, and the public, fostering meaningful discussions on governing the EU's transition towards climate neutrality and sustainability.

Throughout the day, attendees engaged in three engaging roundtable debates, exploring key challenges of the European Green Deal and its implementation. The topics included energy and climate transition, climate adaptation, and the land-use sector. The panellists, including professionals from environmental agencies, research institutions, and municipalities, shared their insights and perspectives, sharing valuable insights and perspectives.

The conference embraced a hybrid format, accommodating both in-person and online participants, ensuring an inclusive and environmentally conscious event. The sessions were enriched by insightful opening and closing keynotes from Miranda Schreurs, Chair of Environmental and Climate Policy, Technical University of Munich and Duarte Cordeiro, Portuguese Minister of Environment and Climate Action.
