After two successful editions in 2017 and 2018, the IES organises the third “TDI YEARLY” on 19 February 2021. Moderated by IES Professor Harri Kalimo you will receive a first-hand account of the major novelties in the EU’s Trade Defence Policy from 2020. The newly appointed Chief Trade Enforcement Officer, Denis Redonnet, presents an overview about his mandate and the concept of competitive neutrality. Stephen Johnston from the UK Department on Trade and Industry focuses on the repercussions of BREXIT to the field. Moreover, experienced EU officials, such as Frank Hoffmeister and Cathy de Backer will touch upon the most important anti-dumping and anti-subsidy cases. Moreover, prominent members of the Brussels bar (Bao Yongquin, Lorenzo di Masi, Byron Maniatis, Juhi Sud) bring in their point of view as commentators, in order to animate an open, academic discussion.

During the workshop, there is plenty of room for a virtual discussion - you are welcome to join! Please register here

The conference program is drawn up with the kind help of well-known specialised practitioners of the Brussels bar, namely Edwin Vermulst, Bernard O’Connor, Olivier Prost, Yves Mélin and Renato Antonini.
