Piero is a project officer in the Centre for Security, Diplomacy and Strategy (CSDS) of the Brussels School of Governance. He holds a master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Bologna and complemented his studies with internships at CSDS, the Centre for the Study of Democracy in Bulgaria, and the association Consoles; moreover, he contributed to the works of the student association Hikma and the NGO Mani Tese. Besides, Piero published on IAI Commentaries, the European Policy Review and Opinio Juris, inter alia. Lastly, his interests lie in maritime security, Indo-Pacific dynamics, and European security and defence.
